Little Bug Lounge is dedicated to providing exciting environments for children that ignite their imaginations. We manufacture unique, custom-designed furnishings and accessories, which are designed to become treasured family heirlooms.

Little Bug Lounge is committed to the highest quality handmade furnishings and accessories. Each collection is designed to provide parents with the luxury of high-end design, without the cost of an interior designer. Each piece of furniture is a numbered, limited edition original work of art and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the designer. We are dedicated to providing our customers with the highest level of satisfaction from our products and our service.

To give a local face to our work, we've opened the Little Bug Lounge boutique in San Francisco, which doubles as a fabulous hang-out for parents and their little bugs. Our commitment to fun and creative learning is mirrored in the steady stream of activities at the Lounge. The atmosphere is over-the-top magical: from the vintage bunny bench out front that once warmed the hearts of visitors to the Ronald McDonald House to the antique camel inside that once watched over the Market Street Emporium, every piece has a story to tell. The store is proud to stock not only our own custom-made pieces, but also the products of local parents and designers. Please see the links on this page of friends we're proud to support! Our Story
Little Bug Lounge was created when founder, Laura Rose, decided to design a highchair that would pull up to a dining table, and would be a place that children wanted to sit rather than fought to escape. She wanted the chair to be creative and add to the decor of a home, unlike the options she found in stores and on-line. The first highchair, the Zebra, triggered such excitement from her children, her friends and their children that it inspired an entire collection, "The Safari Lounge".

The furniture is created just outside Tlaquepaque, Mexico, an area renowned for its high level of craftsmanship and recently featured in Architectural Digest. Architectural Digest says, "With craftsmanship so closely tied to its identity, it's no wonder that the city has developed over time into a kind of bohemian artist's colony, albeit one with a decidedly upscale flavor." And, "The quality is just unbelievable..." The craftsmen "exemplify the astounding level of skill and attention to detail that is Tlaquepaque's legacy." The artists who bring Laura's designs to life are the second generation to run their family-owned business.

Laura's daughters are the true test of what children will enjoy. Sydney, 5, and Alexandra, 3, are always first to try out the samples with their friends. When they beg to sit in a chair, or refuse to get off the soft zebra rug, Laura knows she is on to something!
